ShiftRobin

Say yes to more work.

Create your own on-call workforce. Post a shift and ShiftRobin contacts your people one at a time until it's covered. No app. No group chat. No phone tag.

SMS Dispatch · Line Cook Live

ShiftRobin → Alice

Open shift: Line Cook tonight 6-11pm. Reply Y to accept, N to pass.

Three steps. No training required.

Your workers already know how to use ShiftRobin. They reply Y.

1. Add your team

Import a CSV or type in names and phone numbers. No apps to install. No worker accounts to create.

2. Post an open shift

ShiftRobin picks who to text first based on who's actually been showing up. Override the order on any single shift when you need to.

3. Watch it happen

One text at a time, in the order it picked. No reply inside your window? On to the next automatically. Watch it live, or go do something else and check back.

Group texts reward whoever's fastest at their phone. That's rarely who you'd have picked.

ShiftRobin asks one worker at a time. It ranks your bench automatically using the accept and decline history of the last thirty days, then rotates through fairly so nobody gets burned out being everyone's first call. If a worker doesn't reply inside your response window, it quietly moves to the next.

When a specific shift needs a specific order (the senior mover for the piano job, the bilingual server for the group booking), you can override the auto-order on that shift by hand. Auto-ranking resumes on the next dispatch.

Fair by default. Overridable when it matters.

How ShiftRobin picks who to text first

Reliability
Accepts, declines, and no-shows over the last thirty days. Workers who show up move up. Workers who ghost move down. New hires get the benefit of the doubt.
Fairness rotation
Among workers of equal reliability, the one you haven't bothered most recently comes first. No favourites over time.
Override any shift
Hand-pick the order on the shift itself when you need to. The auto-order kicks back in on the next dispatch.

Sound familiar?

Restaurant

Maria manages a 30-seat bistro. When her line cook texts "can't make it" at 4 PM, she used to spend an hour on the group text, then start calling. Now ShiftRobin contacts her eight most reliable cooks in order. The shift is covered before she finishes checking the reservation book.

Framing crew

Doug runs a framing crew that starts at dawn. When a carpenter texts at 5:45 AM that he's out sick, Doug used to hold the crew in the parking lot while he worked the phone. Now ShiftRobin texts his most reliable framers in order. The replacement is on site before the first cut of the day.

Volunteer SAR

Chief Jensen manages standby coverage for a 40-person volunteer search and rescue team. When two members call off a weekend shift, she used to spend her Friday evening texting down the roster one by one. Now ShiftRobin contacts the closest qualified volunteers in order. The shift is covered before she leaves work.

Built-in schedule management

ShiftRobin includes a simple shift calendar out of the box. Create shifts, track assignments, see who's working when. No extra tool required to get started.

  • Shift calendar with day/week/month views
  • Role-based shift templates
  • One-click dispatch from any open shift
  • Assignment history and coverage gaps

Grow capacity

Never say no because you're short-staffed.

There's a whole bench of people happy to work occasionally.

Former employees. Part-timers. Students. The semi-retired guy who still likes the odd Saturday. A deeper bench means more coverage, more flexibility, more revenue you weren't going to catch.

Another job comes in. Another event books. Someone calls in sick. You already know who to ask. ShiftRobin makes the ask for you.

Your bench

  • Former employees
Left on good terms. Still know the job.
  • Part-timers & students
    Always looking for another shift.
  • Semi-retired regulars
Happy to pick up the odd day.
  • Trusted subs
The guys you already call when things get big.
